Maya Blue has been writing and performing together since 2019, playing festivals, bars, and venues across the GTA. Nick DePaul on guitar/vocals, Tyler Pasta on drums, and Derek Osborne on bass, Maya Blue’s sound pulls from influences of rock, blues, indie and Canadian music, tied together by their unique grooves and classic guitar tones.
Their first EP, self-titled Maya Blue, was released in 2021, which followed their debut single, Dance. They are now looking forward to the release of their first full-length album, Trouble in Mind, which will hit streaming services September 1st. The new album features 8 original songs, including their recent singles “Juliet and the Lonely Boy,” “Pair O’ Dice” and “Rain”.
Since the fall of 2021, Maya Blue has been regularly hitting up venues across the GTA to promote their debut EP. Something they had been patiently waiting to do since the COVID-19 pandemic. This summer, Maya Blue will be playing a string of shows including the Painted Lady, Dakota Tavern, and a special album release show at The Casbah in Hamilton on September 23rd.
