Review Fix chats with singer/songwriter Jessa, who discusses her origin in music, goals and new single, “Airplane Mode.”
I’m new to dating again after a long relationship, so I’m having a bunch of unfamiliar feelings, like becoming fixated on my phone when I’m hoping to hear back from someone I’m into, even though I know better. My new single is about figuring out how to get over our own bad tendencies, even if […]
Guitarist, koto player and singer-songwriter Jessica Stuart has become JESSA, smashing layers of playful strings and vocals into a sometimes dancy, sometimes moody indie-pop package, singing about trying to keep the joy in daily life while navigating this weird world and all it’s curve-balls. “I’m new to dating again after a long relationship, so I’m […]
Originally from Vancouver, BC, and currently calling Toronto, ON home, indie-pop artist JESSA (formerly: Jessica Stuart Music) released her latest single, “Airplane Mode,” just yesterday; a synth-summertime-sizzler that shall appear on her upcoming debut album, “Simple Songs,” next month.
When Vancouver-born, guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Jessica Stuart moved to Toronto, quitting work as vintage clothing buyer for a career in music, her goals were simple – release an album of original songs, hear her music on the radio, and satisfy her wanderlust on tour around the world. Having made a name for herself through […]
Emerging Canadian singer Denise Valle‘s latest single, “Circles” is a sweet concoction of contemporary R&B. Combining trap beats, impassioned vocals, soulful harmonies and elements of pop, the song displays gripping emotions but within a fun, vibey sound. The lyrics describes the feeling of anxiety that arises from thinking too much about a person.
The Saskatoon-raised, Calgary-dwelling R&B singer Denise Valle dropped a stunning new song earlier this week. Featuring both Wyatt C. Louis and Blessing Asebiode, “Circles” is a slower tempo track that intertwines Valle’s smooth vocals with Louis’ chill beats. Just beautiful.
I really like the slow burning vibe of Denise’s “Circles”, which not only evidently gives her enough time to showcase her over-arching vocal range, but also showcases her continue use of smooth, gliding instrumentals to drive along the story she is trying to tell within.
