Nightjacket have established themselves as a prominent indie dream pop act in the Los Angeles music scene. With lush soundscapes, pulsing beats, and soaring vocals, Nightjacket have received critical acclaim from various media outlets including Stereogum, SPIN, American Songwriter and Under The Radar, and have consistent airplay on NPR affiliates such as KCRW.
Originally formed in 2015, the band met Andrea Wasse in 2019 and bonded over their mutual love of dreamy alternative pop from the 80s and 90s. The new lineup wrote and recorded the EP, Following The Curves, in 2021, and released the single for “Don’t Say a Word” in 2022 with sounds ranging from psychedelic Americana, to ambient alt-pop, and jangly reverberated shoegaze, paying homage to their teenage influences such as Mazzy Star, The Sundays, R.E.M. and Cocteau Twins.
