Tee Krispil is one of the most exciting upcoming artists from Canada’s hip-hop scene. Her influences include Fleetwood Mac, Erykah Badu, Guru, and old-school dancehall/reggae. Her EP One Way Ticket will be dropping summer 2018, and the project is laced with metaphor, style, and musicality. Her producer Moxsa aka Ari James brings old school flavour with new school sounds to create a truly unique sonic experience that’s reminiscent of the 90’s but definitely relevant to today’s hip-hop.
The project is about many things, but the title One Way Ticket is a play on words alluding to how we are all ONE. With a background in teaching yoga and after a spiritual revelation Tee had while in Israel, she began making music from what she calls a “higher source”. A channeling of sorts, Tee feels like a vessel that’s here to share truth from higher realms. Her passive participation in music creation is intriguing, and the messages are important.
