Mad Ones


Toronto Rock band Mad Ones have a new lineup for 2017, a new record, Regretless (March 3) and will be bring their high energy live show to Europe for the first time March 5-24.

Mad Ones sound blends the modern rock of bands like Cloud Nothings, The Growlers, King Tuff and Reigning Sound, with the vintage rock of Lou Reed, early Bowie, Big Star and The Replacements. Primary songwriter and singer/guitarist Andrew DeVillers founded Mad Ones in 2011 with drummer Phil Wilson and the duo made 3 records together; Behaviour (2011), Burning Window EP (2013), Sanciety (2016).

The band has now evolved into a trio with Russell Fernandes (The Mercy Now) on bass and Adam Balsam (The Most Serene Republic) on drums. Initially formed to tour Sanciety, the lineup worked out so well that they they went back into the studio with producer Adam King (Lowell, HotKid) to make a new record. Regretless also features guest performances from Sean Dean (The Sadies), Will Kidman (Constantines), Carleigh Aikins (Paperbird/Bahamas) and Shiloh Harrison (HotKid).

Mad Ones  has toured North America and opened for many prominent acts such as PUP, The Dirty Nil, The Thermals, The Growlers, Pack A.D., Monster Truck and played festivals such as SXSW, NXNE, CMW, and M For Montreal.
