Jesse Merineau is best described as Indie Pop-Rock. His music is heavily inspired by european acts such as Arctic Monkeys, The Kooks, and Franz Ferdinand. Although his Canadian/Northern roots naturally come to life in his songs, as his writing is based on personal emotions and experiences. Jesse’s first EP “That Night” consisted of original songs he held closest to his heart. These songs were ballades driven by heartbreak, with a large production. Crossing beautiful strings with rock and roll, making for a unique melancholy feeling. Opening his career with this bold move has allowed his following to understand him more as a human, making for a closer connection. His next move is now releasing the upbeat/catchy crowd favourites, to tackle the mainstream in his own way.
