Ezra Jordan is a Canadian singer/songwriter from Toronto, Ontario. The son of songwriters, Ezra’s exposure to music began at an early age. He is now forging his own path in the music industry drawing inspiration from genres including R&B/Funk, Pop creating a soulful, refreshing and authentic sound.
Since beginning his career in 2017, Ezra has exceeded expectations. Independently, He has successfully toured across Ontario & Quebec twice, was a finalist on CTV’s The Launch (S1,E4), charted on Mediabase’s US Top 40 Activator Chart (currently at #34), and accumulated over 3 Million streams on Spotify. In addition, he has successfully performed in New York, LA and just played at TD’s Green Room at The Juno Awards.
Ezra was fortunate enough to be born into a musical household. As the son of Marc Jordan (Rod Stewart, Cher) and Amy Sky (Heart, Olivia-Newton John), Ezra has been surrounded by music since his earliest days. He took up piano at the age of 4 and although he also learned to play guitar and drums while growing up, piano remains as his main instrument.
At the age of 18, Ezra suffered a traumatic and life-threatening injury to his leg that ruptured his femoral artery. He required emergency surgery to save his life and avoid amputation. It was an 18-month recovery process, that disabled him to properly sit at a piano. Seeking a different musical outlet, Ezra turned to singing and writing songs. With his newfound singing ability and innate sense for songwriting, Ezra then joined Juno-nominated singer-songwriter Scott Helman as his keyboard player and backup singer.
Following his stint with Scott Helman, Ezra moved to Los Angeles to attend the Musician’s Institute and focus on his solo career. He successfully completed their Independent Artist Program, and returned to Toronto, working on releasing his own music.
With deep musical bloodlines and a fresh take on pop music, Ezra Jordan is only just scratching the surface of his musical potential.
