Bass Lions

Bass Lions released two albums on Nevado Records and Nevado Digital/Fontana North: 2007’s ‘More Than Islands’ and 2010’s ‘…is Diamonds’. In 2014 Bass Lions released a self-titled EP via Fortnight Music.

Bass Lions toured nationally behind all three records, have consistently played sold out shows in local venues, and received local, national, and international press and radio support. In 2015 Bass Lions was officially selected to play Riverfest Elora, KOl Fest, and Kazoo! Fest.

The band contributed multimedia projects and performances to NIGHT/SHIFT  – Kitchener-Waterloo’s Nuit Blanche style festival of the arts – in  2013 and 2014.

Bass Lions has participated in multi-genre, crossover events with members of the KW Symphony Orchestra – collaborating each time on original arrangement and composition of music for a modern audience.

The four piece have established a reputation for skillfully crafting indie-pop-experiments and then releasing them in a flurry of syncopated enthusiasm. They are known far and wide as “The World’s Most Amicable Opening Band”.
